I appreciate the DNF’s, the negative criticism and the uproar that it’s caused in the book community. I never would have seen the true beauty in each of those books. Had I NOT read the books that I vowed to stay away from, I would have missed out in the worst way. Well, FOR ME, I realize that’s no way to live. As the number of books in my TBR increased, the more and more I read, I started learning what I disliked in books, what I DID NOT want to read about, what rubbed me the wrong way and I would rely on blurbs and warnings from my peers to stay away from certain genres, certain books. When I started my reading journey, I realized that there really is no limit to what an author can write about, whether it’s about cheating, cancer, abortion, borderline incestuous relations, murder, vampires, wolves and zombies….you name it and there’s a book about it. Contains explicit sexual situations, violence, disturbingly sensitive and taboo subjects, offensive language and very mature topics. With malice in their hearts and vengeance in their veins, they will seek out the ones who hurt and destroyed them. As Heathan pulls Ellis out of her mental prison, reviving the essence of who she once was, down the rabbit hole they will go.
